Ragi Dosa – A Healthy Snack

Ragi (Finger Millet) is the best natural protein food that actually does wonders unknown to many. Just to list a few benefits to health:

There are many recipes that can be made with Ragi that are tasty as well as healthy. Let’s start with one a day!

Ragi Dosa

This even serves as instant dosa snack. So if kids come home without finishing the lunch box at school, this can serve as the best source of energy and health.

Ingredients:

2 Cups Ragi flour

1 Cup grated coconut (it is always better to use fresh grated coconut for better taste)

1 Cup Curd / Milk

Salt to taste

Water

Procedure:

1) To start with, take a bowl and add the Ragi flour into it.

2) Add the coconut that has been grated.

3) Now add curd / milk and then add salt as per taste.

4) Keep adding water to make a batter with thin consistency

5) Keep the batter covered for 30 minutes. Later to it, you can heat the tawa and spread the batter as done for a regular dosa and the yummy Ragi Dosa is all ready for you. Serve it hot with chutney.

Variations:

  • You can also add rice flour or besan, but keep the mixture for 45 minutess before making dosa.
  • You can add Cumin seeds as well in the prepared batter.
  • You can also make Ragi dosa with 1 Cup Ragi flour / ½ cup Wheat flour / ½ cup rice flour / ¼ cup Bombay Ravva .
